Meet our Pastor and First Lady

Pastor and First lady Surkanya Johnson reside in Nashville Davidson County area. To their union, they have five children and eight grandchildren.  Pastor and First Lady are affectionally known to their grandchildren  as G Daddy and Mee-Maw.

They both received Christ early in life, Pastor Johnson at the Connection Hill P. B. Church, First Lady Surkanya Johnson at the Locust Ridge P. B. Church.

In 1993, Pastor Johnson was called to serve as the Senior Pastor of the Ebenezer P. B, Church were he served faithfully until 2001. God then called Pastor Johnson to the home of his nativity, Connection Hill P. B. Church.  He served that body of believers from 2001 until 2005.

 

Following the spirit of God, Elder Johnson took a sabbatical from pastoral leadership and joined the Locust Ridge P. B. Church under the leadership of his spiritual father Pastor Jasper G. Hatcher.  For two years, Pastor Hatcher served as a mentor.  During this time, Elder Johnson received divine covering and xxx prayer

 In 2007 God spoke emphatically into the life of Elder Johnson and in 2007, he excepted the call to serve as Senior Pastor of the Hamilton Tabernacle United P. B. Church.  Pastor Johnson continued to listen and obey the spirit of the Lord.  It was in 2011 that he answered the call of God to serve the membership of the Mount Sinai P. B. Church.

 Pastor Johnson has served each body faithfully, love intentionally, lead courageously, and preached with conviction and power.

Pastor Johnson has been a faithful man of god, he has served as spiritual counselor for American Red  Cross, and he has also served as Baptist counselor for William Medical Center, pastor Johnson has also served as spiritual counselor for Nashville Rescue Mission.

 

Pastor Johnson has served the Cumberland Association of P.B. in a variety of leadership positions, and for the last four years he has served as vice Moderator.

The focus of pastor Johnson is to Gain Them (Matt 28:19) Retain Them (Joh 15:16; 17:11, 23) Constrain Them (2nd Corinthians 6:1-10) Train Them (Ephesians 4:12-16),
